An Elkhart man has been sentenced to seven years of probation after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine.

33-year-old Keenan Davis was arrested in 2022 following an investigation at the Family Dollar on West Franklin Street in Elkhart.

Police say surveillance video showed Davis and others moving merchandise and hiding bags that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Investigators recovered hundreds of grams of meth and a large amount of stolen merchandise during the case.

The Goshen News says under a plea agreement, a theft charge was dismissed, and Davis was sentenced on the drug possession count to seven years on probation.
