According to the Gary Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, June 10, on a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee that had been identified as a suspect vehicle in the investigation of a June 8 road rage shooting near the Burr Street ramp on I-80/94.
Police said 25-year-old Jaymiere Johnson of Hammond was taken into custody during the stop by the Indiana State Police. He was transported to the Lake County Jail.
