Indiana Congressman Rudy Yakym and Illinois Congressman Brad Schneider have introduced the Concrete Pump Tax Fairness Act.
The legislation would eliminate the current fuel tax on mobile concrete boom pumps, replacing it with a mileage-based user fee.
Supporters argue the current system unfairly penalizes operators because the trucks consume heavy amounts of fuel while stationary on construction sites.
Under the new plan, all tax revenue would be directed into the Highway Trust Fund to support national infrastructure.

And those operators just pass the cost along to their customers.
I get what they are trying to accomplish, but this seems like a lot of extra tax complexity for no real gain.
The world is collapsing and the Yakman wants to tinker with the fuel tax. How about the same thing for private garbage truck and other necessary services. Maybe Amazon, UPS, and FedEx. The JOB of every elected or appointed official is to “SECURE RIGHTS.” Read if for yourself right there in the first couple of paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence.
