A former KeyBank employee has been sentenced in Elkhart County for financial fraud involving a local couple.

41-year-old Emily Pich was accused of opening loans and credit accounts in other people’s names without authorization.

Investigators say the fraudulent accounts included a home equity line of credit exceeding 65,000 dollars.

The Goshen News says under a plea agreement, Pich was convicted of misdemeanor conversion and sentenced to one year of probation.

More serious felony charges were dismissed as part of the agreement.
