The man accused of shooting a LaPorte County deputy caused a disruption during a court hearing Friday.
Sharod Grafton was appearing by video when he stopped answering the judge’s questions, then stood up and attempted to leave the room.
Officers quickly moved in to restrain him, taking him to the floor as the courtroom watched. The video feed was then shut off.
Grafton is charged in the shooting of Deputy Jon Samuelson inside a Michigan City hospital last month. His next court appearance is set for July 10.
