Man accused in burglary case sentenced to 5 years

One of two men accused in a Goshen burglary case has been sentenced in Elkhart County Circuit Court. 

56-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez pleaded guilty to Level 5 felony burglary in connection with a December 2025 break-in at a vacant home.

Investigators say deputies found Gonzalez and another suspect leaving the area with property allegedly taken from the residence.

Gonzalez was sentenced to five years, with three years suspended to probation.

According to The Goshen News, charges remain pending against the second defendant.
