Governor Mike Braun and Indiana State Police are reminding everyone to make safety a priority this holiday weekend.

State Police are increasing patrols through the C.A.R.E. enforcement campaign, targeting impaired drivers, speeding, distracted driving and other dangerous behaviors.

Last Fourth of July weekend, Indiana saw more than 1800 crashes, 620 injuries and 23 deaths.

Officials urge everyone to plan ahead, choose a sober driver, buckle up and report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911.
