An Elkhart man is facing multiple felony charges in a child sexual assault investigation.

Police arrested 19-year-old Carlos Cruz Hernandez on June 23 after the alleged victim reported repeated assaults dating back about four years. Investigators say the victim told them the abuse happened more than five times.

According to court documents, Hernandez admitted the victim’s account was true when officers questioned him. His initial court hearing is scheduled for Monday.
