Motorcyclist dies after crash near Wanatah

A Clarks Hill man has died following a three-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles and a passenger vehicle Saturday afternoon, July 11, in LaPorte County.

LaPorte County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 4 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of U.S. 421 and School Road near Wanatah.

According to investigators, a northbound passenger vehicle struck a motorcycle from behind before continuing forward and colliding with a second motorcycle.

The operator of the first motorcycle, 42-year-old Ryan Harrison of Clarks Hill, died Sunday from injuries suffered in the crash.

Three other people were injured and taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Toxicology test results are pending as factors into the crash remain undet investigation.
