A K-9 in LaPorte County is retiring, deputies announced Monday.
Bosco spent eight years working with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office. His partner, Deputy Jon Samuelson, was shot at a Michigan City hospital in May.
As Samuelson continues to recover, the sheriff’s office decided to retire Bosco.
The sheriff’s office says Bosco seized over $3 million in drug-associated money, thousands of pounds of marijuana, and two vehicles.
