Man arrested after confrontation with police sentenced for meth possession

A man arrested after a confrontation with police in Nappanee has been sentenced on a felony methamphetamine conviction. 

40-year-old Nicholas Coburn received an 11-year sentence after pleading guilty to possession of meth, with three years to be served on probation.

Police say Coburn fled officers attempting to arrest him on an extradition warrant before being tased.

The Goshen News says investigators later found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle during a search.
