A man has died after becoming trapped inside a burning grain bin in Marshall County.

Emergency crews were called to the 14-thousand block of Maple Road shortly after 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.

Authorities say Jonathon Hayn was working inside the grain bin when the grain began burning and he was overcome by smoke.

Family members and other workers tried to rescue Hayn but were unable to get him out. Firefighters eventually removed him from the bin.

Hayn was pronounced dead. An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.
