Elkhart County crash injures driver after Camaro hits four parked vehicles

A 20-year-old Elkhart man was injured after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into four parked vehicles along U.S. 33.
The crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, near Arlene Avenue.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro northwest on U.S. 33 when he lost control while traveling at a high rate of speed.
The Camaro left the roadway near 23,119 U.S. 33, at Goldston Automotive, and struck four parked, unoccupied vehicles.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and reported head, neck and chest pain. He was the only person in the Camaro.
The Camaro sustained extensive damage.
The crash remains under investigation.
