More goats work the riverbank in Mishawaka

The Mishawaka Riverbank Goat Project seems to be going well.

So well, The Princess City has just added 20 more of the hungry creatures to the herd this week. That swells the number to 48 goats who are gnawing away at the invasive overgrowth along the St. Joe Riverbank.

They’re helping to naturally improve the look of the landscape, and save some money for the Parks & Rec Department’s landscaping budget at the same time.

Goat sightings have been popular on local social media.
