The Department of Veterans Affairs is awarding $38-million dollars in grants to 19 Indiana organizations to fight Veteran homelessness.

The funding is part of a nationwide $1.1-billion-dollar effort assisting homeless and at-risk Veterans for fiscal year 2027.

Local grants will fund emergency housing, rapid re-housing programs, and supportive services-including transitional housing tailored for women, elderly, and chronically ill Veterans.
