Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced Thursday that veteran business executive Mitch Frazier will serve as the next president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, effective Oct. 5, 2026.

Frazier succeeds Josh Richardson, who is transitioning to the private sector after serving as IEDC president since October 2025 and capping an 18-year career in state public service.

Working alongside Indiana Secretary of Commerce Chuck Goodrich, Frazier will lead state initiatives aimed at attracting business investments, supporting local enterprise growth, and recruiting and retaining workforce talent across the state.

“Mitch understands Indiana, he understands business, and he knows what it takes to turn ideas into results,” Gov. Braun said in a statement. “Mitch brings the experience and energy to help us keep moving that work forward.”

Frazier comes to the agency from IBJ Media, where he served as president. His extensive leadership background in Indiana’s private and public sectors includes roles as CEO of AgriNovus Indiana and CEO of Reynolds Farm Equipment. He also held senior leadership roles at software firm ExactTarget during its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Salesforce.

A U.S. Army veteran, Frazier began his career in active-duty military service before holding federal civilian public affairs roles and serving as director of media relations for the IEDC.

Richardson will remain in his role through Oct. 2 to assist with the leadership transition.
