Elkhart man killed in motorcycle vs van crash in Goshen

An Elkhart man died after his motorcycle collided with a van at an intersection in Goshen.

Goshen police and fire-medical personnel were called to the crash at East Lincoln Avenue and Olive Street just before 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Police identified the motorcycle operator as 41-year-old James Myers of Elkhart. Myers was seriously injured in the collision and taken to Elkhart General Hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Ford Econoline van was not injured. Police cited and released the driver at the scene.

The Goshen Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
