A dump truck and an SUV collided at County Roads 11 and 32 in Elkhart County.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 7:40 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12 when a northbound dump truck driven by a 41-year-old Plymouth man went through a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 58-year-old Mishawaka man.
The Traverse left the road and came to a stop in a field northeast of the intersection, facing south. Its driver reported pain in his left wrist and was evaluated at the scene. He declined further medical treatment. The dump truck driver was not injured.
The sheriff’s office said the dump truck driver was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
