The Republican candidate for Indiana secretary of state says he plans to sue his Democratic opponent over a campaign ad about his driving record.
Max Engling says an ad from Beau Bayh’s campaign falsely suggests Engling was convicted of reckless driving. Engling says he was never charged with that offense and had asked Bayh’s campaign to withdraw the ad. He says the campaign refused.
Engling’s campaign also released a court record showing Bayh faced a reckless driving charge in Virginia in 2018. The campaign says Bayh later reached a plea agreement. Those claims come from Engling’s campaign.
Engling says he intends to challenge the ad in court. Bayh’s campaign response was not included in the announcement.

You all must remember, Beau Bayh is not Evan Bayh. Nor is he Birch Bayh. Those ships have sailed and are now in drydock under demolition.

Vote for Max!
