Sound off on possible food, beverage tax at meeting Wednesday

(Spencer Marsh/95.3 MNC)

St. Joseph County residents are invited to a series of meetings on a possible food and beverage tax in Indiana.

Members of the South Bend, Mishawaka and St. Joseph County councils will be on hand during the meetings, WNDU reported.

The first meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, on the fourth floor of the County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend. The other two meetings are July 27 and Aug. 31.

It’s not clear how the money will be used if a food and beverage tax is passed.

What the hell is wrong with these people in charge? They don’t know what specifically they will use the income from the tax for? Our county and city officials are idiots and as a local I’m tired of this nonsense.
