Suspected heroin dealer arrested in South Bend

A suspected heroin dealer was arrested in South Bend on Wednesday, June 29, after a two-hour police standoff on the city’s west side.

St. Joseph County and South Bend police surrounded a home near Meadow and Barberry lanes for about two hours Wednesday morning before going into the house, WNDU reported.

The suspect, a man named Ryan Daniels, and an unidentified woman were arrested.

Neighbors were evacuated in the area as a precaution but police say there is no longer any danger.
