Man found dead with gunshot wound in Bristol

Elkhart County police are asking for help identifying a person found dead of a gunshot wound on State Line Road in Bristol early Tuesday morning, July 5.

The victim was found lying in the roadway on State Line Road east of Tasha Drive at about 5:30 a.m., Elkhart County Sheriff’s Capt. Jim Bradberry said.

The victim is described as a light skinned black male in his teens or early 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 to 160 pounds. He has several tattoos, including the word “love” on the underside of his right wrist, the word “bright” on his left forearm and a rose design with petals made out of $100 bills on his left elbow, Bradberry said.

The victim’s death is under investigation and an autopsy will be scheduled.
