Man killed in crash in Kosciusko County identified

One person was killed and another person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Kosciusko County.

The collision happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Sep. 12.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Leesburg-Plain Township firefighters were called to the intersection of County Road 700 North and County Road 200 East on the report of the crash with one person ejected from a vehicle, according to the Kosciusko County F.A.C.T team.

David E. Holbrook, 70, of Warsaw was pronounced dead at the scene. A Syracuse woman driving a large grain truck was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.

Holbrook was driving south on County Road 200 East and failed to stop at the intersection, according to the preliminary investigation, as reported by WNDU.

The Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. team is investigating the crash.
