The second-in-line at the St. Joseph County Republican Party has moved to the front of the line.

The St. Joseph County Republican Party appointed Lynn M. Fitzpatrick to serve as the new Party Chair, according to a statement.

“I’m honored that my fellow Republicans have faith in me to lead the St. Joseph County Republican Party at such a unique time in our state’s history.” Fitzpatrick said in the statement. “We have an opportunity to elect Donald Trump as President of the United States, Todd Young to the U.S. Senate, and send Congresswoman Walorski back to the House. In addition, our state, county and local officials are all running tirelessly to share our message of efficient governance, lower taxes, greater freedom and ethical values with voters across the county. I’m proud to continue our conservative traditions and look forward to winning in November.”

Fitzpatrick replaces Roy Saenz, who suddenly resigned at the end of August. Fitzpatrick’s first act was to appoint Emily Daniels as Vice-Chair of the St. Joseph County GOP.
