Elkhart County Prosecutor to seek life without parole sentence for Amber Pasztor

Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill says he’s seeking life without parole for a Fort Wayne mother who’s admitted to smothering her children to death.

Amber Pasztor, 29, is charged with murdering her children, 7-year-old Lilliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor. It’d be considered an enhanced sentence because the victims were under the age of twelve.

Also, the evidence that Pasztor may have committed an additional murder is also considered an aggravating factor. She admitted in an interview with WANE-TV that she killed 65-year-old Frank Macomber and stole his car.

The press release, which you can read below, does not mention the death penalty. Hill had been considering pursuing the death penalty in Pasztor’s case.

She will be back in court on Oct. 27.
