Niles-Buchanan YMCA offering free childcare on election day

If you want to vote, but don’t want to have your child wait with you in line, the Niles-Buchanan YMCA has your back.

This week, the YMCA of the USA announced some locations are offering free child care, according to USA Today.

A spokeswoman at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA says their branch will offer the service. Parents can drop of their kids for an hour and a half while they go vote.

However, the Michiana Family YMCA in South Bend and Edison Lakes YMCA in Mishawaka won’t offer the free service. A spokeswoman told 95.3 MNC that officials were concerned about being able to accommodate more kids. South Bend Community Schools are off that day. However, their paid child care service will still be available.
