Search continues for suspects who robbed the 1st Source Bank in Mishawaka

The search continued on Thursday, Nov. 17 for three suspects who Mishawaka Police Department say robbed the 1st Source Bank  at 4720 Lincolnway East in Mishawaka.

Police were called to the bank branch around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, where witnesses told them three suspects entered the bank armed with guns and demanded money.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money the suspects fled from the bank.

During the course of the investigation the Mishawaka Police Department provided the Elkhart Police Department with information with regards to the robbery.

This information led officers to an address in the 1000 block of McKinley Avenue in Elkhart Indiana.

Officers of the Elkhart Police Department arrived and made contact with several subjects, at least one of which was inside the residence. Officers from the Elkhart Police Department and Indiana State Police secured the residence and area surrounding area and made contact with several people, at least one of which was inside the home.

So far, no arrests have been announced.

Penn High School and several other nearby schools were placed on lockdown for about 30 minutes after the robbery took place.
