A 24-year-old North Webster man was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning.

At about 4:47 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, crews were called to the area of C.R. 1000 N. and Koher Road on reports of a crash, according to the Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. Team.

When officers arrived, they found Christoper Doty trapped inside a 1997 Buick. Doty was initially conscious on the scene, but became unconscious when he was extricated from the vehicle.

He was rushed to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.

Police believe Doty was traveling east on C.R. 1000 N. when he failed to navigate curves near the intersection of Koher Road. His vehicle left the road and hit multiple trees.

The Kosciusko County F.A.C.T Team and sheriff’s department is investigating the crash.
