Two former employees of LaGrange County camping business accused of stealing $22k from company

Two former employees of a LaGrange County business have been arrested for stealing more than $22,000.

Indiana State Police say a two-month-long investigation into an internal theft allegation by the Twin Mills Camping Resort led them to find out that more than $19,000 in cash and $3,000 in checks had not been deposited over a two-month time frame from July through August of this year, according to WOWO.

Police singled out former administrative assistant 25-year-old Ariel Allen and her boyfriend 27-year-old Michael Sawyer, both of which worked for the resort, and found burlap money bags in their home, plus all of the missing checks and other paperwork.

The cash was not recovered. They’re both facing felony theft charges.
