A new Republican Congressman from Indiana has made the list of rising House Freshman to watch.

Roll Call.com has published its list of the fresh faces in the 115th Congress, and among those they name as the most ambitious is Indiana’s Third District Congressman Jim Banks.

Banks is a Navy Reservist who returned from Afghanistan in 2016 and started campaigning almost immediately for the 3rd District seat. He won the seat and succeeded Marlin Stutzman, who had a failed campaign for U.S. Senate.

Roll Call says Banks hasn’t ruled out a Senate run in 2018 himself. He’s already joined the Steel Caucus, landed a committee assignment on Armed Services, and is expected to be approached by the Freedom Caucus, as well.

Bank’s district covers northeast Indiana, including all of LaGrange and Noble Counties and part of Kosciusko County.
