The South Bend Police Department is investigating two shootings that took place in South Bend Friday.

The first shooting took place Friday afternoon on the 800 block of North Lindenwood Dr., according to the South Bend Tribune.

Police were called to Memorial Hospital at about 2:20 p.m., where they found a man had been shot in the hand. They couldn’t get an immediate statement from the victim because he was being taken into surgery.

The other shooting took place at the Boost Mobile store in the 3000 block of Lincoln Way West at about 9 p.m. Friday. An employee hit the holdup alarm because of a parking lot fight, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Officers found a 24-year-old man from South Bend had been shot when they arrived. He was taken to Memorial Hospital.

Neither victim’s injuries are considered to be life-threatening. The shootings are still being investigated.
