Woman arrested on suspicion of beating elderly mother in Mishawaka

Mishawaka Police and St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a beating that has left an 85-year-old woman in critical condition.

Officers were called to the 400 block of West 6th Street, around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, on the report of an assault, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim’s 59-year-old daughter, Annette Sue Beadle, was taken into custody and placed in the St. Joseph County Jail. She’s initially charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery.

The elderly victim remains in critical condition.
