Officials removed more than two dozen cats from a house in South Bend last week.

Around 25 cats were seized at an abandoned home in the 1100 block of South Logan Thursday afternoon, according to ABC 57.

18 of the cats were alive, and there were 7 deceased kittens and stillborns.

South Bend Animal Care and Control said they were tracking the situation in the house before the raid and are aware of potential suspects.

They are continuing the investigation and will be looking in to possible animal abuse charges.
