South Bend police officer injured in late night crash

A South Bend police officer is recovering after being hurt in a crash.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, near the Martin’s Super Market at Ironwood Drive and State Road 23, when the police cruiser collided with a pick-up truck, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The officer had non-life threatening injuries, ABC 57 reported.

The truck driver did not seek medical attention.
