An overnight fire caused damage to a Bremen business early Monday morning.

The fire broke out at about 3:40 a.m. Monday at the Charleston Corporation plant on Dogwood Road just south of U.S. 6, according to ABC 57.

The fire was discovered by a maintenance worker, who immediately called 911. The fire created a large plume of smoke that could be seen for a half-mile.

No injuries were reported and no chemicals were released. The company makes parts for recreational vehicles, aftermarket vehicles, and the boat industry.

The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
