Two people on a motorcycle hospitalized after crash in Cass County

Two people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a motorcycle in Cass County.

The collision happened just before 10 p.m. on Friday, June 9, on Dutch Settlement near Glenwood in Wayne Township.

A 21-year-old man from Dowagiac driving the car attempted to turn into a driveway but failed to yield to the oncoming motorcycle and struck the bike, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The 42-year-old Dowagiac man operating the motorcycle was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment. His passenger, a 32-year-old Dowagiac woman, was transported by MedFlight to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
