Granger woman dies in crash near St. Joseph/Elkhart county line

A Granger woman died in a single-vehicle crash near the St. Joseph-Elkhart County line.

The crash happened at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Ash and Douglas Roads. St. Joseph County Police believe the woman was speeding when she went off the road and crashed. Police have ruled alcohol out as a factor.

The 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, which was cleared hours later for traffic.
