A 10-year-old boy is recovering from a severe arm injury after being attacked by a dog at Jellystone Park in Marshall County.

ABC 57 is reporting one of the 22 bites the boy received was one centimeter away from an artery, which if pierced, would have killed him.

The boy says he didn’t do anything to the dog besides pet its head. He says the dog tackled him and started biting his arm until his father smacked the dog in the head. The dog then bit its owner, who was trying to pull the dog off the boy. Then, the dog attacked the 10-year-old again.

The boy’s family wants the dog put down. Jellystone Park says they will be reviewing dog rules at their next meeting in August.

yeah, this dog needs to go down. It’s either out of control or trained by its owner to be aggressive. If the latter the owner needs to be liable too.

Maybe a steady diet of left-wing sausage will calm this cur of its aggressive tendencies.
