About 1100 people without power in Cass County after Saturday’s storms

About 1100 Midwest Energy customers were without power after a transmission line outage to the White Pigeon substation.

Transmission was lost around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, after a series of wind storms that left 22 broken transmission poles and other downed equipment.

Midwest Energy had crews mobilized and ready to backfeed as equipment clean up alloed, according to the utility.

AEP officials estimated it would be Sunday evening before restoration was completed for everyone.
