Notre Dame’s President, The Reverend John Jenkins, will be spending Thanksgiving in Ireland, dedicating a building.

Father Jenkins will join the archbishop of Dublin for the inauguration of the Notre Dame Newman Centre for Faith and Reason in Dublin Thursday. The University says a Mass will be performed in the afternoon at the facility.

At the invitation of the Archbishop, Notre Dame agreed last year to steward the historic Newman University Church by establishing a center designed for young professionals. The center is named for the founder of the church.

The new center complements an array of University activities in Ireland.
