If you’re looking for unique gifts for your loved ones this season, you definitely want to make sure you shop in downtown Elkhart for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25.
As you walk Main Street finding holiday gifts for everyone on your list, enjoy carolers singing from 11 to 4 p.m. and stop at a burn barrel for free s’mores. Coffee, hot chocolate and other drinks will also be available. Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet children from noon to 3 p.m. on Civic Plaza. Iechyd Da Brewing Company
Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Stop in downtown Elkhart’s premiere brewery for great food and beer — including the recently tapped TransAtlantic collaboration Red Rye IPA with Wild Horse Brewing Company in Llandudno, Wales (Iechyd Da is a Welsh-inspired brewpub). There’s a limited-run can label commemorating the collaboration, so don’t wait to try it!
Hopman Jewelers
Hours: 9:30 to 5 p.m.
Get a free gift and free gift wrapping with every purchase on Small Business Saturday. The first 10 shoppers will also get a special Small Business Saturday gift bag.
Ruthmere Museum
Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last tour begins at 3 p.m.)
Take a break from shopping to tour the Ruthmere House decorated for the holiday season. This year’s theme is “I’ll be home for Christmas” in honor of past and present military servicemen and servicewomen. All veterans and active duty military members can tour the Ruthmere for free from Thanksgiving weekend through December 30. The general public can tour the Ruthmere for a reduced admission of $2 per person from Thanksgiving weekend through December 30 thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. Ruthmere members are invited to Cocktails with the Clauses featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday night. Call 574-264-0330 for information on becoming a member and on attending the event.

Shop several pop-up shops for home decor items, nutritional products, baby headbands from El and Em and more items for your whole Christmas list. Enjoy music while you shop and drinks will be available.

Come in for a variety of unique gifts. All Canvas jewelry is “buy two get one 1/2 off” and statement earrings are 10% off. Limited edition holiday planters and holiday bulbs will also be for sale.

The Lerner Theatre

The Aurinko Ballet will present the Contemporary Nutcracker, an alternative version of the Nutcracker ballet. The story follows Klara in a magical pursuit for a family that helps show the true meaning of Christmas. Tickets are $10 for children, $20 for adults and $15 for seniors.
