Another hospital in the area is restricting visitation due to the widespread flu epidemic.

Goshen Hospital released a statement Thursday morning regarding steps intended to protect patients, families, and staff from from unnecessary exposure to the flu virus. As a result, only adult immediate family identified by patients will be allowed to visit until further notice.

Siblings and visitors under the age of 18 will NOT be permitted to visit, and all visitors will be asked to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer often while in the facility. Hospital officials also remind the public that the flu vaccine is still available.

Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital in South Bend are also restricting visitors out of flu concerns to just one adult visitor at a time and NO children under the age of 18.
