The victim of a fatal crash in Cass County Monday night has been identified.

40-year-old Jennifer Johnson of Edwardsburg died when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree on Calvin Hill Street near North Shore Drive northeast of Edwardsburg shortly before 7 p.m.

Johnson died as a result of her injuries despite wearing a seatbelt. Deputies say slick roads were a factor in the crash.
