A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. until 8 a.m. for St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaPorte, Kosciusko, Marshall and Starke Counties in Indiana, as well as Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph Counties in Michigan.

Snow will work its way into Michiana beginning late Tuesday evening lasting into Wednesday morning. Most will see a general 1 to 3 inches of snow, but those living closer to the lake shore could see 3 to 6 inches of snow.

From the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana:
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Snow chances remain in the forecast through the weekend with highs gradually warming up near 30 degrees.

Next week is warmer and generally quieter.

Your ABC 57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Center Forecast:

Tuesday Night: Snow showers, low of 16.

Wednesday: Snow showers, high of 22.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, highs in the low 20s, chance of snow.
