As the search for a man who allegedly killed a 17-year-old South Bend girl continues, a woman has also been charged in connection with her death.
39-year-old Takesha Jacobs is charged with assisting a criminal.
She allegedly helped 20-year-old Rahim Brumfield get away from the crash scene where 17-year-old Tysiona Crawford remained in a flipped car with a gunshot wound to her head. She later died at Memorial Hospital and the coroner ruled her death a homicide.
Court documents say she was in an argument with Brumfield earlier that day. Jacobs is charged with a Level 5 felony, meaning she faces up to six years in prison. Brumfield is charged with murder and a firearm sentencing enhancement.
