Arrest made in wrong-way crash on U.S. 31 that killed Culver man

The driver who allegedly drove the wrong way on U.S. 31 and caused a deadly crash now faces formal charges.

 

52-year-old Russell Stull is charged with causing death when operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless homicide and possession of marijuana.

It was back in early March when the head-on collision occurred on U.S. 31 near Shivley Road, killing Stephen Pletcher.

According to police report, when officers asked Stull where he was coming from, he said “somewhere drinking.” Stull was arrested on Wednesday.
