A Cass County man has been charged with criminal sexual conduct after a SWAT situation last month in South Bend.

Cass County deputies crossed the state line to serve a warrant for Corey Roddy on March 26 on Chestnut Street. When he refused to come out, SWAT was called in, leading to an hours-long standoff that ended peacefully.

Wednesday, he was in court as the teenage girl in question detailed at least three incidents in the summer of 2017, when she was 14. He was involved with the girl’s mother at the time.

Roddy denies the charges and no date has been set for his next court appearance.
