GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes signed former Notre Dame defenseman Jordan Gross to a two-year entry-level contract Thursday. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Gross, 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, had 10 goals and 20 assists in 40 games for Notre Dame this season, helping the Irish reach the NCAA championship game.

The 22-year-old defenseman, from Maple Grove, Minnesota, had 36 goals and 85 assists in 159 career games for the Irish.

Meanwhile, the Irish announced Friday that junior defenseman Dennis Gilbert has signed a 3-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Earlier this week, junior forward Andrew Oglevie opted to forego his senior year at Notre Dame to sign a two-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres. Captain Jake Evans recently signed with the team that’s held his draft rights for four years: the Montreal Canadians.
