A fire at an American Electric Power substation near Potato Creek State Park is causing smoke to billow into the sky that can be seen for miles.

The fire is burning at one of the buildings at the substation, located on the 25000 block of Quinn Road.

Fire crews tell ABC 57 they are waiting for an AEP worker to shut down power at the substation so it can be made safe for firefighters. Until then, the fire will continue to burn.
