Small fire breaks out at Dickinson Academy in South Bend

A fire forced students at Dickinson Intermediate Fine Arts Academy to evacuate.

Students started noticing a “haze” at school at around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

A fire was discovered in an air conditioning unit in the school’s second floor in a science classroom. Students went to Coquillard Traditional School while the fire was dealt with.

No injuries were reported.
